Good news for Delta State Indigenes and residents as the Delta State Traffic Management Authority (DESTMA) has opened a recruitment portal inviting suitably qualified candidates to apply for various position cadres within the authority.
The available positions for the recruitment includes Road Traffic Officer, Superintendent and Traffic Assistant, eligible for candidates with Bachelor’s degree, HND, NCE, ND and Secondary school leavers.

3. Traffic Superintendent/Assistant Traffic Superintendent – Grade Level 06
Assistant Traffic Superintendent cadre is for Nigerian Certificate of Education and National Diploma (ND) applicants with qualifications in relevant disciplines.
4. Traffic Assistant – Grade Level 04
The Traffic Assistant cadre is for applicants with Senior Secondary schools Certificate (SSCE). Candidates must satisfy the following requirements:
- Senior Secondary schools Certificate (SSCE) in WAEC, GCE, NECO or NABTEB.
- Possess four (4) credits passed at one sitting or five (5) credit passed at not more than two sittings all to include English Language and Mathematics.
Eligible Trades and Crafts
Delta State Traffic Management Authority (DESTMA) is also looking for applicants with tradeyand craft certificate to be employed as Traffic Assistant.

- Driver/Mechanic – light-duty vehicle drivers
- Driver/Mechanic – heavy-duty vehicle/truck drivers
