The Federal Ministry of Works has opened the extension of applications President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Engineering Mentorship Programme 2026, inviting unemployed skilled artisans across Nigeria to submit their registration for this important opportunity. Submission of applications closed on 28th July, 2026.
The President Tinubu’s Engineering Mentorship Programme is created by the Federal Ministry of Works which equip artisans with advance training, mentorship and capacity building by working as apprenticeship in the ongoing federal government construction projects across the country.
Artisans such as carpenters, masons, steel reinforcement workers, electricians, plumbers, welders, painters, etc and other construction related trades are eligible for this programme which will provide them with an opportunity to improve their skills in the construction industry.
About President Tinubu’s Engineering Mentorship Programme 2026
This is program is run by the Federal Ministry of Works with objectives to strengthen the Nigeria’s construction sector by moulding young artisans with mentorship and updating them with latest knowledge and practicals to make them ready for industry employment within and outside the country.
Candidates will be under the mentorship and apprenticeship of experienced engineers and certified construction professionals working on the current federal government construction projects across the country.

Eligibility Requirements
You need to satisfy the following requirements to register for the programme:
- Be a Nigerian citizen between the age of 18 and 45 years.
- Have a recognised Trade Test Certificate, Skills and Vocational Training Certificate.
- Demonstrate practical experience in the trade applied for.
- You should be currently unemployed
- Be mentally and physically fit for site and construction works.
- Ready to participate in a project attachment and supervision through our the program.
Meeting the above requirements will increase your chance of selection in the programme. And candidates who are currently working somewhere are not eligible.
